PANAJI: The Goa Forward Party has warned the BJP government to approach the court if it appoints its ‘Tom, Dick, and Harry’ as section officers by bypassing recruitment rules, depriving deserving candidates.
Employees Forward Convenor John Nazareth on Wednesday addressed a news conference at Goa Forward Party Headquarters, Panaji and said that BJP intends to give these four posts to candidates from its fold.
He informed that on 28th April 2021, Goa Legislative Secretariat issued an advertisement seeking applications for four posts of section officers and the very next day it was withdrawn.
John Nazareth said that three posts were in the General category, while one was in OBC. “On 29th April Goa Legislative Secretariat again issued an advertisement saying advertisements issued on previous day stands withdrawn. This incident was suspicious, hence we dug up some information and we got indications that BJP wants to fill these posts by passing rules and give it to any ‘Tom, Dick, and Harry’ (from BJP).” He said.
He said that there are moves by the government to amend recruitment rules to fulfill wishes of the saffron party.
“Now officers should become vigilant, if they support such illegalities to purposely deprive deserving candidates then we will approach the court.” He said.
