PANAJI: BJP State President Sadanand Shet Tanwade today in the BJP National Executive meeting has expressed confidence that party under leadership of Dr Pramod will win 2022 elections with absolute majority.
Tanawade also said that BJP Goa Election Incharge Devendra Fadnavis is in talks with MGP Leader Sudin Dhavalikar for an alliance.
“I and CM Sawant has expressed confidence and have told the BJP National Executive that BJP will attain absolute majority in the 2022 elections. We have told the BJP central leadership of all the various programs planned ahead of elections and also the strategy,” said Tanawade speaking to media after the BJP National Executive meeting
He further said that talks are on with MGP over the matter of alliance and BJP State Election In-Charge Devendra Fadnavis is looking the matter.
“He must have already spoken. Meeting must have already happened,” he added when queried further.
The BJP National General Secretary further mentioned that as many as 124 national executive members, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, party president JP Nadda and many Union ministers, will attend the meeting physically while the members based in various states, including chief ministers, will join it virtually in line with the COVID protocol.
During the meeting, the saffron party strategised for upcoming assembly polls in five states.
The meeting also assumed a extra significance as it comes against the backdrop of the results to 29 assemblies and three Lok Sabha bypolls spread across 13 states in which the party’s performance has been mixed.
