PANAJI: BJP National President Jagat Prakash Nadda will be on a two-day visit to Goa from Monday to review the election preparations ahead of upcoming state Assembly polls 2022.
Nadda would be accompanied by Party’s National General Secretary B L Santhosh and Goa State in-charge C T Ravi during his visit to the coastal State on July 12-13 during which he will be holding a series of meetings with the different wings of the party organization to kick start the poll campaign.
Informing about the visit of the BJP senior leaders, State President Sadanand Shet Tanavade said that the party is ready to face election at any time and is confident of its victory with complete majority.
He said that for now the party is all set to fight the polls on its own and will also win alone. “We are ready to face the elections even if they are held tomorrow,” Tanavade said.
Tanavade said that the National President during his visit will be holding meetings with the MLAs, President and General Secretaries of District Committees, in-charges of different mandals, social media cells and others.
On the ticket allocation, Tanavade said that it is decided by the party’s parliamentary board and the State unit is just a recommending body. He said that there are still six months for the elections and nothing has been decided on the ticket for now.
Tanavade thanked the party high command for the appointment of Rajendra Arlekar as the Governor of Himachal Pradesh.
