PANAJI: The Bombay High Court has extended all interim orders passed by itself as well as subordinate courts and tribunals that fall under its jurisdiction in Goa and Maharashtra till August 13 or until further orders, whichever is earlier, in view of the Covid 19 pandemic.
The Bench further directed that orders pertaining to eviction, demolition or dispossession passed by any lower courts or authorities after April 9 will be kept in abeyance as per the conditions of its previous order of April 16, 2021.
“We will extend the of interim orders till August 13. Lockdown orders have not been eased,” the Chief life Justice said, further noting that the administrative committee has decided to continue virtual hearings till July end.
The extension applies to Bombay High Court at its Principal Seat in Mumbai, Benches at Nagpur and Aurangabad, the High Court of Bombay at Goa, and the courts/tribunals subordinate to it. It also applied to courts/tribunals in the Union Territory of Dadra and Nagar Haveli, and Daman and Diu.
