PONDA: Bike rider injured in Car-Bike accident at Borim succumbed to injuries.
Ponda Police booked an offence against Orrisa-based Car Driver in this connection.
According to Ponda Police, the accused, Shri HariHara S/o Prakash Chandra Padhy, age 38 years, N/o Temple Street Patratur, Jayantipur, Ganjam, Orissa, Driver of Hyundai Creta Car bearing registration JK-14-F-6409 on 19 Feb drove his Hyundai Creta Car in a rash and negligent manner endangered to human life without taking proper care and caution, while proceeding from Borim circle towards Ponda direction and when reached Near Topcola Borim, Ponda Goa and while overtaking gave Side swipe to one Jupiter Scooter bearing Registration number GA-05-Q-9053 which was proceeding in the same direction.
As a result, the rider, namely Mr Arun S/o Radhakrishna Prabhu, age 62 years R/o H.No 187, Borim Ponda Goa of Jupiter Scooter bearing Registration number GA-05-Q-9053 sustained injuries to his head. Further, they succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment at GMC Bambolim.
This connection registered Ponda Police Station Crime U/s 279, 304-A, IPC.
