SIOLIM: Anjuna Police have registered a case against a 42-year-old British national for allegedly overstaying in Goa without valid travel documents.
Police said the accused, identified as Niall Julian Rice, a freelancer by profession, was found near St. Anthony Church, Siolim, around 10:30 pm on Sunday. On being checked, he failed to produce a valid passport and visa, thereby violating provisions of the Foreigners Act, 1946, and Foreigner Order, 1948.
The case was registered based on the state complaint of PSI Saish M. Kinlekar, who is also the investigating officer in the matter. Further probe is underway.
