PANJIM: Under trial accused in murder case Ramchandra Yallappa today escaped from Central Jail, Colvale.According to the police sources, Yallappa climbed jail wall and ran away when all police personal posted at watch towers were asleep.
Yallappa had earlier also ran away from Margao Court. The police have launched a massive search to nab him again. Yellappa (30 yrs), hails from Tamil Nadu.
Ramachandra Yellappa is accused of allegedly raping a 48-year-old British tourist near South Goa’s Canacona railway station and had fled from custody while he was being shifted to a court for trial on June 28.
