CANACONA: The Cancona Taluka Government Primary Women’s Teachers’ Association won the title in the All Goa Government Primary Teachers’ Association Women’s Cricket Tournament organized by the Bicholim Taluka Government Primary Teachers’ Association. The runner-up title was won by Bicholim Taluka Government Primary Women Teachers Association.
Gauri Velip was awarded the Best Player of the Tournament and Shreya Pagi was awarded the Player of the Match.
Canacona team consists of and included with captain Aarti Kolambkar, vice-captain Gauri Velip, wicketkeeper Shreya Pagi, bowler Gauri Velip, Niyati Gaonkar, Pramila Gaonkar, Smita Gaokar, Maya Gaonkar, Mohini Prabhu, Pournima Velip, Deepa Velip, Sukanti Velip, Nishikanthi Desai, Supriya Velip, Shital Pagi. The team coached and guided by Bhalchandra Gaonkar, Lavind Gaonkar, Laxman Velip, Dhillon Gaonkar.
