PANAJI: Congress Leader Vijay Bhike today said that candidates for Lok Sabha will before announced before the Gudi Padva festival.

He further said that a proper process is underway, this election is a fight for the protection of India’s identity. Before Gudi Padwa candidates will be declared.
“BJP remembers minorities only at their convenience, forgot minorities when Manipur was burning,” he added.
While former minister Ramakant Khalap and party functionary Vijay Bhike were initially considered the frontrunners for the North Goa seat, the party is still undecided over its shortlist for the South Goa seat.
Apart from incumbent MP Francisco Sardinha, party functionaries Girish Chodankar and Viriato Fernandes were under consideration by the party for the South Goa seat.
However, sources said that the party was also seriously considering fielding Patkar for the seat.
