PANAJI: Panic broke out at the Ashtami Fair on the Mandovi promenade in Panaji on Saturday morning when a private passenger bus lost control and crashed into the fair around 8.30 am.
Three persons sustained injuries in the mishap, with one of them rushed to hospital for treatment.
Several stalls and items displayed for sale by vendors were badly damaged in the accident. A parked scooter and the bus stop shade were also crushed in the impact.
Police rushed to the site soon after the incident and began investigations into the cause of the accident.
