LONDON: On St. Andrew’s Feast Day, the Vasco Goan Association, Ealing, UK, proudly honors Clayton Barreto for his outstanding contributions to the Goan community in the UK.
Clayton’s journey from Goa to becoming S.Secretary to the High Commissioner at the High Commission of India is a testament to his resilience, integrity, and dedication.
Over 16 years, he has championed Goan culture, promoted Konkani, supported Goan talent, and ensured Goa’s presence in the Indian High Commission and international platforms.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, Clayton played a crucial role through the High Commission of India and the Vande Bharat Mission, helping many Goans return home.
He has always assisted Goans in need, making no distinction and offering quiet yet impactful support in his official capacity at the Indian High Commission and also also religiously through those needing support through prayers.
Balancing his professional duties with social and religious commitments, Clayton is actively involved in two churches, giving his time alongside his wife and son.
His ability to seamlessly balance profession, faith, family, and community service reflects his deep commitment to Goan values and identity.
Unfortunately due to time restrictions we aren’t able to spell out everything Clayton is known and done for our community.
The Vasco Goan Association is privileged to felicitate Clayton Barreto—a beacon of Goan heritage, a role model, and a dedicated leader. May God continue to bless him and his family as they inspire and uplift our community.
