PANAJI: The Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant today ruled out possibility of imposing any Janata Curfew in the State for now or any travel restrictions to control spread of Covid infection.
Talking to reporters after video conferencing with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Sawant said that government is concerned about raising Covid-19 cases in Goa and neighboring states also.
He said that for now there are no plans to impose Janata curfew or travel restrictions.
“Government is monitoring the situation. As required, we will increase testing facilities,” he said.
The chief minister urged tourists visiting the State to follow health norms.
Goa has been witnessing sudden surge in Covid cases with total 94 new cases being reported on Tuesday.
