PANAJI: Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant today launched NISHTA 2.0, a capacity building programme and highly beneficial scheme for school heads and teacher’s holistic advancement.
NISHTHA is the world’s largest teachers’ training programme of its kind.The basic objective of this massive training programme is to motivate and equip teachers to encourage and foster critical thinking in students.
“I urge the teachers and schools to undergo upgradation with this program. We are number one state in government and aided institute in terms of ranking and infrastructure. This scheme will benefit all the teachers to go one step further in nuturing all their skills,” said CM during the launch of program
He further said that it is important that teachers undergo the right training to ensure that they can work towards the all round development of children.
“Education is the most important aspect to bring about development and growth in society. To impart proper education. This scheme aims to build competencies among all the teachers and school Principals at the elementary stage,’ he added
Sawant also said that this program is first of its kind wherein standardized training modules are developed at national level for all States and UTs, working to improve learning outcomes at the elementary level through an Integrated Teacher Training Programme.
