VASCO: Himachal Pradesh Governor designate Rajendra Arlekar left for Shimla today to take oath as Governor of HP.
Before leaving for Shimla this afternoon, Rajendra Arlekar, was greeted by Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant and key office bearers of the BJP.
Visiting Arlekar’s residence in Vasco, the Chief Minister presented him with a shawl and a coconut, honored him and wished him well for his next journey.
BJP state president Sadanand Shet Tanwade presented a bouquet to Arlekar. Urban Development Minister Milind Naik, BJP state general secretary Adv Narendra Sawaikar, Damodar Naik, treasurer Sanjeev Desai and Vasco MLA Carlos Almeida were present to congratulate Alekar.
Arlekar left for Chandigarh in the afternoon.
From there they will take a helicopter to Shimla.
