Vasco: Women affiliated to Mormugao Congress on Monday agitated in the MMC building against the reservations declared for the upcoming civic polls. The women led by Shradda Amonkar, wife of Sankalp Amonkar questioned why reservations were not ensured for the civic polls and questioned why the BJP Mahila morcha were silent. Outgoing councilor Bhavna Bhosle asked whether Naik was afraid of the women in the area and alleged that the reservations were done keeping the assembly elections in mind.
The women shouting slogans also met the newly appointed administrator Raju Gawas who said that he was not the right authority to address the issues and was restricted only to municipal functioning
Women later inked the photos of Urban Development Minister Milind Naik in protest
Shraddha amonkar said that she had gone to courts against reservations and demande the CM Dr Pramod Sawant to intervene
