PANAJI: Minister and Calangute MLA Michael Lobo today said that he has informed BJP General Secretary (Organization) BL Santosh and State Incharge CT Ravi to consider winnability criteria before issuing tickets for upcoming elections.
Lobo today held a meeting with B L Santosh and CT Ravi to discuss strategy for the upcoming elections.
“I have given my suggestion to the central leadership that winnability should be a main criteria before giving tickets for the upcoming elections and both of them have said that it a positive suggestion,” said Lobo speaking to media after meeting
Lobo while giving example said that BJP was reduced to 13 seats in last elections as winability criteria was not followed.
Lobo informed that various strategies were discussed while also stating that he was asked to give details on the functioning of State government along with his constituency.
“We have been told to prepare for the upcoming elections under the leadership of CM Sawant and to chalk out a plan on how to win maximum seats for BJP,” Lobo informed.
The minister informed that the central leadership has agreed to meet again on one to one basis soon.
