The charges have now included intensivist, primary and specialist consultant charges, which were not there earlier along with cardiac monitor, infusion pump, X Ray, USG,, liver function test, etc.
The charges also include all other regular expenses including admissions, bed charges, nursing services, resident doctor fee, nutritional diet, PPE kits for the staff and routinely prescribed medicines.
Addressing the media, Health Minister Vishwajit Rane said that the government has issued an order with revised rates. “More interventions are added under the prescribed rates,” he said.
Responding to a question, the Minister said that the government is considering bringing COVID treatment under Deen Dayal Swasthya Seva Yojana (DDSSY) so that the people can take benefits in private hospitals
