MARGAO: Dicarpale Sports Club win the 16th St. Anthony Festival Cup 2024 by defeating Guardian Angel Sports Club 6-5 in a tie-breaker at Moll Ground Assolda.
At regulation time 1 -1 draw. Ajay Raj of Dicarpale gave the lead in the 45th minute and Guardian Angel Jaison Dais levelled the match in the 60th minute.
In the tie-breaker Dicarpale Sports Club netted through Sahil Lmandar, William Niasso, Royson Colaco, Myron Rocha and Ajay Raj and for Guardian Angel Sports Club Godwin D Costa, Fedrick Fernandes, Godwin Fernandes and Rayan Menezes, Chief Guest was Nilesh Cabral MLA of Curchorem constituency Guest of honor Sidarth Gauns Dessai Zilla Panchayat Member Dr Caitano Fernandes GFA President, Anthony Pango GFA Vice President, also Fr Peter D Souza was present as special guest parish priest Paroda
