PANAJI: The Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) today has issued a circular stating that it will conduct Term/Year-end board exams in Online mode starting from 19th July for diploma students.
“In continuation to the earlier letter No.BTE/Gen/Term.Sch/11 XX/2020/107 dtd. 25/06/2021, it is informed that the Term/Year End April 2021 Board Examination for various Diploma Programmes under BTE-Goa, which was postponed, shall be conducted w.e.f 19th July 2021 in online mode, as per the revised examination time table.
NSUI Goa, a student wing of the Congress, had called on the principal’s Government Polytechnic) Panaji (GPP) to take the final exams online. The.NSUI had demanded that students should answer their exams online.
According to the updated circular of the District Collector, if an educational institution wants to conduct any examination offline, it has to get permission from the government.
NSUI president Naushad Chaudhary said the GPP issued a circular on Tuesday saying the remaining internal exams will be offline.
The NSUI had urged Chief Minister Pramod Sawant to postpone the Senior Secondary Certificate (SSC) and Higher Senior Secondary Certificate (HSSC) exams until the entire student community is vaccinated against Covid-19.
Goa University, in a circular, said that the January-February 2021 exams for final year engineering students would be held offline mode. For students of the junior year, the exam will be held online.
