PANAJI: Domnic Noronha, former Sarpanch and present panch member of Dharmapur, has been appointed as Chairman of RTI Cell of the Goa Pradesh Congress Committee.
Adv. Carlos Alvares Ferreira, Chairman of State Legal Cell, on Wednesday announced the name of Domnic Noronha for the post, in the presence of GPCC President Girish Chodankar, Vijay Bhike District President and Tanvir Khatib.
Domnic Noronha, is a RTI activist and has played a major role to unearth the information in regards to wrong doings of government.
Speaking on the occasion, Chodankar said that the corrupt BJP government always tries to suppress the voice of the people. “Our RTI Cell is actively working to dig out the information from government offices. This government has shown in the past how it wanted to sell Goa to crony capitalist friends of Modi, but thanks to the unity of Goemkars who didn’t bend before it.” Chodankar said.
He appealed to the public to contact them, if they need to seek any information in regards to faulty policies of the government to save Goa.
