Panaji: Asserting that Goa will not be a coal hub, the Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant once again defended the proposed doubling of railway tracking line stating that the project would be a “game changer”.
Sawant said that the double tracking of railway line project will be a game changer to improve railway networks for trade and passenger movement, CM said.
He reassured the people of Goa that Goa will not be a coal hub though presently coal is being transported by train.
“We will reduce the coal handling in phase manner soon,” Sawant said.
CM also said that though Several NGOs are going to court against various infrastructure projects, time has come that we need to speak in positive way.
He said that the proposed Tanmar power project is need of the hour along with enhanced infrastructure.
Sawant has invited suggestions from the industries for the budget 2021-22.
We will collect the honey without hurting the flowers and the industries will not be disappointed by the Government,” he said.
