Panaji: Dr. Ajay Gaude, GCS Officer, Goa, Director of Sports and Youth Affairs, and Executive Director of SAG, successfully captured the breathtaking beauty of the Roli-Kholi Summit situated at an altitude of 13,500 feet amidst the majestic snow-clad Himalayan ranges.
The expedition stands as a remarkable achievement reflecting determination, endurance, adventure, and the true spirit of exploration. The trekking journey commenced from Kullu on May 19, 2026, and concluded at the scenic Roli-Kholi Summit on May 23, 2026.
A total of 120 enthusiastic youths from Goa participated in the high-altitude Himalayan expedition. The initiative was sponsored by the Department of Sports and Youth Affairs, Government of Goa, with the summit expedition being organised and conducted by the Youth Hostels Association of India.
The challenging trek through rugged mountain terrain and snow-covered landscapes provided participants with an opportunity to experience adventure, teamwork, discipline, and environmental appreciation in the heart of the Himalayas.
Dr. Ajay Gaude’s participation and leadership in the expedition highlighted the Government of Goa’s continued commitment toward promoting youth engagement, outdoor adventure activities, physical fitness, and character-building experiences among young people.
The successful completion of the summit by all participants marks yet another milestone in encouraging adventure tourism and youth development initiatives from Goa on a national platform.
