PANAJI: FIFA today has lifted registration ban imposed on Churchill Brothers after team paid the due salaries to player.
“In this regard, we take note from the mentioned correspondence that the Creditor has received the amounts due by the respondent, the club Churchill Brothers FC Goa, in accordance with the decision passed by FIFA,” said FIFA.
As a consequence, we inform you that the present proceedings are closed and hence, the registration ban imposed has been lifted,” said FIFA.
The ban was necessitated after Churchill Brothers failed to pay the salary of their Senegalese striker Abdoulaye Sane, the club sources said there was a dispute over the salary since the striker was injured, missed games, and there was even a possibility of the striker making a move.
