PANAJI: Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant has said that final decision on HSSC examination wail be taken by today evening while stating that government is considering three options before them.
Post CBSE class 12 exam cancellation, CM Sawant today had called for a urgent meeting with regards to conduct of HSSC exams.
“Two options before Govt- either to cancel the exam or allow those wanting to answer exams & to go for internal assessment for those students who don’t answer; Both results to be announced together,” said CM Sawant
He further said that the decision has to be taken keeping in mind other entrance examination.
“The decision of Boards from other states will be considered; We will also seek clarification from HRD ministry; decision likely to be announced today evening,” he added
CM Sawant said SSC exams in the state has already been canceled and the results are to be declared on July 13 based on internal marks.
At a high-level meeting chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the central government on June 1 canceled the Class 12 board examination for CBSE students.
In a statement released after the meeting, the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) said, “It was also decided that like last year, in case some students desire to take the exams, such an option would be provided to them by CBSE, as and when the situation becomes conducive.”
