Panaji: A free summer football camp aimed at nurturing young talent will be held for children from the Aldona constituency, as part of a community-focused sports initiative by the PACT Foundation in collaboration with Kick Off Football Schools.
The nine day intensive camp is scheduled from May 1 to May 10, 2026, at the Moira Club Ground near Mapusa. Daily sessions will be conducted from 7:30 am to 9:00 am and are open to boys and girls between the ages of 6 and 14 years. The programme is designed to provide structured football training in a supportive and professional environment.
Organisers said the initiative seeks to strengthen grassroots football while encouraging discipline, teamwork and physical fitness among participants. Each session, lasting between 60 to 90 minutes, will be led by experienced and licensed coaches, with a focus on developing fundamental skills as well as overall growth.
Participation in the camp is completely free, making it accessible to a wider group of children in the constituency. Registered participants will also receive training kits, certificates, medals and refreshments during the course of the programme.
Highlighting the vision behind the initiative, organisers noted that sports can play a vital role in community development and youth engagement. The camp is expected to provide young players with a platform to explore their potential while building confidence and learning the value of teamwork.
The coaching programme will be guided by trained professionals who aim to create a positive and motivating learning experience for all participants. The initiative also reflects a broader effort to promote sporting culture at the grassroots level in Goa.
With limited seats available, registrations will close on April 27, 2026. Interested participants are encouraged to register early to secure a place in the camp. Further details can be obtained by contacting the organisers directly.
