Panaji: The Goa Cricket Association has announced a dedicated selection session for emerging fast bowlers and left arm spinners in the Under 19 boys category. The trials are scheduled to take place on May 19, 2026, at 9:00 AM at the MCC Ground in Margao.
The initiative aims to identify and nurture promising young bowling talent from across Goa, with a special focus on pace bowlers and left arm spin specialists. Eligible players aspiring to represent the state at higher levels will get an opportunity to showcase their skills before the selectors during the one day assessment session.
According to the eligibility criteria, players participating in the trials must be born on or after September 1, 2007. The association has advised interested cricketers to complete the registration process in advance through the official GCA website. However, offline registration forms will also be made available at the venue on the day of the trials for those unable to register online.
Participants have been instructed to carry essential original documents for verification. These include the player’s Birth Certificate and Aadhaar Card, both of which will be checked before the commencement of the selection process.
The trials are expected to attract several young cricketers from different parts of the state, especially those looking to break into the competitive Under 19 circuit. With Goa continuing to strengthen its cricket development structure, the selection session is seen as an important opportunity for aspiring bowlers to gain recognition and move closer to state level representation.
Players and guardians seeking additional information regarding the trials, eligibility, or registration process have been advised to get in touch with the GCA office directly.
