PANAJI: GCC Paddlers emerged victorious in the Saxtti UTTTC (Ultimate Table Tennis Team Championship), defeating Uniqlo Warriors 3–1 in an entertaining and fiercely contested final held at Gomant Vidhya Niketan in Margao on Sunday. Organised by the Saxtti Sports and Cultural Club, the tournament showcased exciting table tennis action and attracted strong participation from competitive teams across the region.
The championship clash lived up to expectations as GCC Paddlers displayed consistency, teamwork and composure under pressure to secure the coveted title. Uniqlo Warriors began the final with confidence and pushed their opponents in every match, but GCC Paddlers responded strongly with disciplined performances in crucial moments.
The opening encounters saw both teams exchange momentum through fast paced rallies and tactical play. GCC Paddlers gradually gained control of the contest with sharp attacking strokes and solid defensive displays that kept Uniqlo Warriors on the back foot. Their players maintained composure during key stages of the matches, allowing them to build an advantage in the overall tie.
Uniqlo Warriors fought hard to stay in contention and managed to claim one point in the final, keeping the pressure alive. However, GCC Paddlers continued to dominate the decisive moments and sealed the championship with a commanding performance in the closing match.
The tournament featured several closely fought encounters from the league stage onwards, highlighting the growing popularity and competitive standard of table tennis in Goa. Players from multiple teams impressed spectators with their skill, athleticism and determination throughout the event.

With the title victory, GCC Paddlers capped off an impressive campaign and added another memorable chapter to the Saxtti UTTTC tournament.
