PANAJI: Goa Police has arrested accused Vishranti Gawas in connection with Goa Medical College (GMC) kidnapping case. Gawas has been remanded to 5 days police custody by JMFC Panaji.
The police had managed to traced and arrest the kidnapper woman and rescued the infant baby, who was kidnapped from the premise of Goa Medical College and Hospital (GMC) yesterday.
The lady along with the baby was found at Saleli village in Valpoi, from where she originally belong from.
As per police, the kidnapper woman claims that the child is her own.
In order to ascertain the biological mother of the child, the police to conduct medical examination of both thr woman- including the Orissa based woman, who claimed to be the mother.
The kidnapping case against unknown woman was initially registeted by the Agassaim police.
The incident was reported on Friday evening after the mother of the baby, who is from Orissa, who informed that a unknown lady ran away with her child.
The Agassaim, Panaji and Old Goa police along with Crime Branch team had launched massive hunt for the accused lady.
