PORVORIM: Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant launched the ‘Goem Vinamulya Vij Yevjan’ in accordance with the PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana, and disbursed the State Subsidy to the beneficiaries in Goa.
CM stated that PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana aims to increase the share of solar rooftop capacity and empower residential households to generate their own electricity. He additionally informed that the scheme has an outlay of Rs 75,021 crore and is to be implemented till FY 2026-27.
He announced that Govt of Goa, under the Goem Vinamulya Vij Yevjan, with an initial investment of 35 Crore, In addition to the Central Financial Assistance, Goa Energy Development Agency will bear the balance cost of the Rooftop Installation up to 5kW for consumers consuming 400 or less units for the last one year.
CM urged all residential consumers, to strengthen the PM – Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana and Goem Vinamulya Vij Yevjan by availing benefits of zero electricity bill.
