PANAJI: Chief Minister Pramod Sawant today said that the Congress party contested this Lok Sabha polls on the basis of caste and religion.
Sawant was addressing the media while addressing a press conference in the presence of Sadanand Tanavade and Shripad Naik.
“Congress party contested this Lok Sabha polls on the basis of caste and religion. Congress has already accepted defeat and after results in June, I.N.D.I alliance will be gone and it’s already evident now,” said CM Sawant.
He further said that he was still firm that the BJP would win both Lok Sabha seats by a 1 lakh 50,000 margin respectively.

“We value democracy.” I’m hoping that “Viksit Bharat” will become a reality. The Chief Minister declared, “I am sure the BJP will win both seats in Goa.”
A few political figures attempted to stir up trouble. However, everyone kept the peace and the elections went off without a hitch,” he said.
