PANAJI: Goa Medical College, Bambolim emerged champions in the Inter-Collegiate Chess (Mix) Championship 2023-24 organized by Goa University at the Anand Keni Fully Air Conditioned Hall, Sridora Caculo College of Commerce & Management Studies, Mapusa on 1st & 2nd August 2023.
Goa College of Engineering, Fatorda claimed the runners-up title, while Dhempe College of Arts and Science, Miramar finished third.
Best Player was awarded to Anvesh Bandekar, of Goa Medical College, Bambolim
The Chief guest of the championship Prof. Santosh Patkar, Principal, Sridora Caculo College of Commerce & Management Studies, Mapusa and Guest of Honour Mr. Arvind Mhamal, International Arbiter along with Mr. Balachandra B. Jadar, Asst. Director of Physical Education and Sports, Goa University presented trophies to the winners at the event.
