PANAJI: Following the audacious crime that occurred during school hours on Wednesday, parents are worried about their children’s safety. In response, the Goa Police have stated that they are willing to keep a 24-hour watch at the Cujira educational complex.
According to SDPO Sudesh Naik, provided they have the necessary facilities and appropriate infrastructure for operation, they are ready to post staff members for the protection of the students.
“We are dedicated to offering 24-hour security, but in order to accommodate our staff, we require at least one room with a bathroom and other necessities. Speaking to The Goan, Naik said, “We can deploy our staff if the educational complex can provide these.”
Zakkaullah Kazi, Shoaib Beig, and Xavier Joshua were detained by the Agassaim Police on Wednesday on suspicion of attempting to kill after Kazi threatened the safety of others at the Cujira complex by brandishing a knife.
The fight, which started as a result of past animosity, happened in the middle of the morning break.
Additionally, SDPO Naik announced plans to run peer group awareness programs should educational institutions invite them to do so.
Many parents expressed worries about their children’s safety while attending the complex’s schools and colleges. A few even insisted on having an outpost there.
