PANAJI: Minister for Protocol Shri Mauvin Godinho welcomed the first international charter flight of the 2026–27 tourist season at Dabolim International Airport, marking the beginning of another international charter season in Goa.
Godinho welcomed the arriving passengers along with Airport Director Flt. Lt. Akash Deep and other airport officials at the airport.
The first charter flight was operated by Aeroflot from Russia, signalling the start of the seasonal influx of international tourists to the state.
Around 144 international charter flights are expected to operate to Goa between October and March during the 2026–27 tourist season. These flights are projected to bring nearly 25,920 foreign tourists to the state.
The arrival of the first charter flight marks the commencement of the winter tourism season, with Dabolim International Airport set to handle a significant number of international charter movements over the coming months.
