Gomantak Bhandari samaj which covers 60 percent of the Bhandari population, invited Arvind Kejriwal, AAP national convenor and Delhi CM to visit Goamantak Bhandari samaj head office, on Sunday. Kejriwal is the first Delhi CM to visit Goamantak Bhandari Samaj head office, established 106 years ago.
Ashok Naik, the president of Goamantak Bhandari Samaj welcomed Kejriwal on Sunday in the presence of vice president Devanand Naik, general secretary Fakru Panjikar, secretary Krishnakant Govekar, executive members Eknath Tari and Mangaldas Naik, and AAP leaders.
Ashok Naik president of Goamantak Bhandari Samaj said, “Goa is the land of lord Parashurama. On this land, the Gomantak Bhandari Samaj was established in the city of Panaji in 1962. Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal had come to meet the people of Bhandari community, it is a matter of pride for us. This is the first time that the Chief Minister of Delhi has come to meet the people of Gomantak Bhandari community”.
He further said, “Arvind Kejriwal’s performance in Delhi is commendable and we hope that if he is elected in Goa, Goa will develop as fast as Delhi. We believe that his party will work hard to bring change in the Goa’s infrastructure, education and health sector. He is the man of words and will fulfill all the promises he has made to Goans” Naik said.
“We have to face some difficulties to avail some government schemes. Sometimes it gets more difficult because haul of restrictions. We have discussed with Kejriwal ji and he promised us that AAP will work for the betterment of Bhandari Community and OBC” .
Devanand Naik, vice president of Goamantak Bhandari Samaj said, “AAP brought a new vision in Delhi and provided an honest governance to Delhites. It is not an easy thing to form the government twice inside the capital of the country, but Arvind Kejriwal has proved it”.
Arvind Kejriwal, AAP national convenor and Delhi CM said, “I would like to thank Gomantak Bhandari Samaj from the bottom of my heart for the respect and love they have given me during the visit. I have not come here to visit Bhandari Samaj as the Aam Aadmi Party national convenor nor I have come here as Delhi CM. I came here as a younger brother of Bhandari Samaj. The kind of good work Delhites has been witnessing, Bhandari Samaj wants such type of change in Goa. They have raised a lot of issues with us. We will think on the raised issues and will work towards it”.
