The Chief Minister, Dr. Pramod Sawant informed that
Government has initiated efforts to extend financial support to
differently abled children to facilitate them venture into self
employment and make them self reliant in life.
Chief Minister was speaking after inaugurating Lairai
Creations, a file manufacturing unit at Govind Nagar, Sarvan,
Bicholim today. The file manufacturing unit is started by Shri
Sidharth Naik, differently abled student of Sanjay School. The unit
is supported by Sanjay Centre for Special Education.
Speaking further the Chief Minister underlined that the
Government has already introduced three new courses for
differently abled children to impart requisite education and
training to gain self employment. He said this will help to minimize
the unemployment problems and also to sustain the livelihood of
differently-abled children apart from bringing them to the main
stream of the society.
