CURCHOREM: The Guardian Angel feast was celebrated at Guardian Angel church, Curchorem on October 2 as it is observed as the Guardian Angel Day all over the world.
The Parish Priest Fr. Vital Miranda celebrated the Eucharistic in the morning and Assistant Parish Priest Fr. Ashlif Correia celebrated in the evening session after conducting day long Holy Adoration of Holy Sacrament.
Later budding parishioner musicians played brass band in the church vicinity to mark the occasion..
Meanwhile, the Management, Staff and students of Guardian Angel Higher Secondary School, Curchorem celebrated the feast of their patron Guardian Angel and Gandhi Jayanti in the school premises on Monday.
In the beginning Fr. Walter Miranda, Principal garlanded the statue of Guardian Angel and the portrait of Mahatma Gandhi.
In his message he recollected the role and the sacrifices of Mahatma Gandhi towards the achievements of freedom of India including his non-violence struggles.
On the occasion students and staff conducted a cleanliness drive by cleaning school premises and surrounding public places to mark Gandhi’s teaching of dignity of labour, under the guidance of NSS officers Teachers Raveena Lopes and Mangaldas Bhat.
