Salcete: Guirdolim SC emerged champions of the 30th Mandopa Football Cup, defeating Parish Youth Nuvem by a solitary goal in the final held at the Mandopa ground. The decisive goal came in the 41st minute when Victorino Fernandes converted a brilliant pass from Mario Fernandes.
The individual prizes were awarded as follows: Victorino Fernandes (Guirdolim SC) was the first scorer of the final, Santan (Guirdolim SC) was named the best midfielder of the final, Presley Mascarenhas (Guirdolim SC) was adjudged the best goalkeeper of the final, and Nicolau Colaco (Parish Youth Nuvem) won the best defender of the final. Mohammad Sahil (UC Seraulim) was declared the promising player of the tournament, while Shelfan Dias (Parish Youth Nuvem) won the best goalkeeper of the tournament. Jonas Colaco (Parish Youth Nuvem) was named the man of the final.
The awards were presented by Chief Guest Adv. Valanka Alemao, Chairperson of the AIFF Women Football Committee, in the presence of Shri Edwin Cardozo (Z.P. Navelim) and other dignitaries and club officials.
