MOPA: A 34-year-old Gujarati national has been arrested by the Mopa Airport Police for reportedly trying to enter Mumbai while carrying a live bullet.
Police claim that when conducting a security check, airport security personnel found a live round (caliber.32) in the wallet of the defendant, Kuldeep Singh Rana.
When questioned, Rana was unable to provide a legitimate arms license to carry and own the round, as well as authorization from the appropriate authorities to carry it onboard the aircraft, which was against Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS) regulations.
At the Mopa Airport Police Station, an offense under section 3 read with 25 of the Arms Act 1959 has been reported, and PSI Sagar Vazarkar is looking into the matter.
