PANAJI: The Government of Goa will be organising the Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign across the State from 9th August 2024. Tiranga Yatra/Rallies, Tiranga Concerts, Tiranga Melas, Tiranga Runs and Marathon will be organised from August 9th to August 13th 2024 throughout the State. Tiranga Pledge, Tiranga Selfies and Tiranga Canvas will also be a part of this Campaign.
Tiranga Yatra/Rallies will be organised separately in each Taluka.
Tiranga Concerts will be organised as large-scale public programmes with a patriotic playlist. Also, Musical events will be organised featuring patriotic songs and cultural performances to celebrate the spirit of freedom and national pride. Under the Programme Tiranga Tribute, Braveheart/Freedom Fighters and their families will be honoured. Tiranga Melas will be organised, and local artisans will display handicrafts and national flags in the streets. Tiranga Canvases will be set up at event venues where people can write “Har Ghar Tiranga” or “Jai Hind” in any Indian language.
Har Ghar Tiranga’ is a campaign that started under the aegis of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav.
It encourages people to bring the Tiranga home and to hoist it to mark India’s independence. The idea behind the initiative was to invoke the feeling of patriotism in the hearts of the people and to promote awareness about the Indian National Flag.
In the last two years, Har Ghar Tiranga has grown to be a people’s movement. People across the country, belonging to different segments of society have embraced the idea and infused it with their warmth and support via participation in online and offline programmes and events.
