Panaji: In a major breakthrough in the ₹100 crore investment scam, Interpol has issued a Red Corner Notice (RCN) against Myron Rodrigues, the alleged kingpin behind the multi-crore fraud.
Rodrigues is accused of orchestrating an elaborate investment scheme that duped numerous investors by promising unusually high returns. The scam, which has rocked Goa’s financial circles, also implicates his wife and ex-wife, both allegedly involved in the fraudulent operations.
Sources in the Goa Police confirmed that the Red Corner Notice was issued following a formal request from the Economic Offences Cell (EOC), amid strong suspicion that Rodrigues had fled the country.
The EOC has already filed a detailed chargesheet in the South Goa Principal District and Sessions Court, Margao, outlining the modus operandi, financial trail, and the accused’s role in siphoning off investor funds.
With the Red Corner Notice now in effect, international agencies will assist in tracking and apprehending Rodrigues. Authorities hope the development will expedite his arrest and eventual extradition.
The scam has triggered widespread outrage among affected investors, who continue to demand swift justice and recovery of their hard-earned money.
Further investigations are underway to identify additional accomplices and recover siphoned funds.
