A jail guard at the Colvale Central jail has been arrested for smuggling 50 grams of ganja in the jail premises for the inmates on Saturday.
Rama Bablo Korgaonkar, jail guard, who is the resident of Revora was found in possession of the banned substance ganja at the entry point.
Mapusa police said that the. alert IRB staff intercepted Korgaoonkar on the entry point and while frisking found the banned substance in his shoes.
Korgaonkar is booked under section 20(b)(ii)(A) of NDPS Act by the Mapusa police.
