CANACONA: Canacona police registers against congress leader Janardhan Bhandari and GFP Environment Cell Chairman Vikas Bhagat and two others over the locking of PWD Assistant Engineer’s incident of Wednesday at Canacona.
Incidentally, Canacona police are on the lookout/searching for the accusds.
According to Canacona PI Chandrakant Gawas, upon complaint of Deelip Kerkar Asstt. Engineer PWD (Roads), registered an offence on Janardhan Bhandari, Vikas Bhagat and two other persons for criminal trespass, wrongfully confined of the complainant in his cabin by putting lock and obstructing him while discharging his lawful duty.
The FIR is registered under section’s 342, 353, 451, 186 r/w 34 IPC. ‘Search is on for the accused’, informed PI Gawas.
In a quick reaction, Bhagat said, ‘they are ready to face the law of the land. The complainant is politically pressurised to file a complaint, we will not cowed down and take whetever measures required as per the law’.
‘Bhandari said, ‘following, yerterday’s open instigation by Canacona MLA/Speaker’s to the PWD Officers to file complaint against us, today, the persuasion of the concerned officer, reportedly came from the CMO itself, followed by a minister from the South. But, we are least bothered, and will not be allowed ourself to be cowed down’.-
