CANACONA: Stating Canacona BJP Karyakarta’s are working on the ‘Antodaya’ concept to uplift the last person, and as part of ‘Vision and Mission-2030 for Canacona’ has completed 20 houses under ‘Shram-Dham’, Shree Balram Charitable Trust-Chairman/ GLA Speaker/Canacona MLA Ramesh Tawadkar informed keys of these houses will be handed over to the beneficiaries at the hands of Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla on 15th June.
Addressing media at Canacona on Saturday, Tawadkar informed, Canacona BJP Karyakarta’s at the auspicious presence of Goa Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant on 25th Mar’23 have launched Shree Balram Charitable Trust and initially took up 14 houses, later-on increased to 20 houses, to the poor and unfordable families under the ‘Shram-Dham concept. ‘With the Shram of our Karyakarta’s and contributions in cash and kind from the well wishers and benefactors, we have now completed all these 20 houses. Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birlaji has confirmed his availability on 15th June’23 (Thursday). We are going to handover the keys of these houses built under ‘Shram-Dham’ concept to all these 20 beneficiaries at the hands of Birlaji.
Tawadkar informed that a maximum of 10 lakhs have been spent for one house, while between 5 to 8 lakhs have been spent for each of the remaining houses. ‘Its not that we had spent only money, but our Karyakarta and others has given ‘Shram’ (Works) to complete these houses’ interestingly, it may be noted that tawadkar has appealed to donate 1(one)
and one-day work as their contributions to build houses to the poor and needy under ‘Shram-Dham‘ concept. ‘Due to paucity of time, Om Birlaji will see only of the 20 ‘Shram-Dham’ houses, the house built for Harischandra Naik at Passal, Poinguinim, visit Shree Balram Residential School complex built under Central funds at Amone, Poinguinim before partaking in the main program to be held at Government Higher Secondary School Complex, Matimoll’
25th Mar alongwith CM Dr. Pramod Sawant. House-Keys would be handed over to all the beneficiaries of ‘Shram-Dham’ concept at the program.
Our Shram-Dham movement has become a state-wide movement, and even the Chief minister has rightly acknowledged the ‘Shram-Dham’ concept for the benefits of other constituencies. We ourself have a task to built up to 150 houses in Canacona alone within the next three years and we will also assist other constituencies in their endeavour to take up similar challenges’
‘People have not only supported us with their physical works, but many have contributed with kind and cash as well. Normally we build houses only with roof-tiles only, we had to build one slab-house at Palolem due to the prevailing situations there. A booklet will be also be published of all the 20 families as to how they were living and how was their old house, and the type of house is built for them under the ‘Shram-Dham concept will be brought-out/showcased in the booklet’
‘We had invited all our wellwishers, contributors and benefactors besides, all the Ministers, MP’s, MLA’s, ZP’s including the bureaucrats and most others also including all the 186 village panchayats in Goa, through their Sarpanch, Secretary and Pancha’s are invited to this program on Thursday. Our BJP stalwarts including our State president Sadanand Tanavde, and all the bearers of BJP party are invited.
