PANAJI: A day after former minister Pandurang Madkaikar’s startling allegation of corruption has been seriously noted by BJP who has sought an explanation from the ex MLA.
Also, the allegation has sparked sharp reactions from several ministers who have asked him to name the rogue minister and not to make general statement.
Minister Mauvin Godinho responding to Madkaikar’s allegations urged him to call the police and identify the minister.
“Pandurang Madkaikar is a former minister. The glass house shouldn’t be hit by stones. You must use caution when using your right to free speech in a democracy” said Godinho
Godinho further added that Madkaikar ought to inform the police about the situation and identify the minister in question.
Revenue Minister Babush Monserrate, also said that the minister he was referring to needed to be identified.
“Madkaikar ought to identify the minister who requested funds from him. The concerned minister should then clarify whether he actually asked him for the money,” said Monserrate
He further claimed that Pandurang Madkaikar is a close friend of him and also an Ex colleague in the cabinet.

Art & Culture Minister Govind Gaude claimed that Pandurang Madkaikar is like his elder brother and he does not want to comment on him.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister Pramod Sawant said Madkaikar has not made any allegation against him.
“He has not made any allegations against me,” Sawant asserted.
Pandurang Madkaikar, a former minister and BJP leader, claimed that the ministers in the current BJP cabinet are “busy in counting money.” Additionally, he had stated that he had just bribed a minister’s PA to handle his case.
“I will tell you very frankly, it’s not corruption, it’s loot. Loot is going on in Goa.All Ministers are busy in counting money,” Madkaikar had said
