Mapusa police have arrested two Kolhapur natives identified as Sangeeta Vilas Gosavi and one Sunita Rajaram Gosavi for allegedly committing theft from a house at Gaunsawado, Mapusa.
The two accused women committed theft of goods including grinder cutter, drill machine and other items from a house located in Gaunswaddo, Mapusa.
The complainant Raj Chari who is also the owners of the house informed that the incident occurred at around 7 am on Monday wherein two unknown women entered into complainant’s house and committed theft of a grinder cutter, a drill machine, a hammer and chisel and a 50-meter electrical cable which was kept inside verandah all worth Rs, 16,000.
Police informed that the whole incident was recorded on CCTV which was installed in complaint’s house and based on CCTV footage, Mapusa Police managed to nab both accused women. Both accused women are natives of Kolhapur and are presently residing at Guirim.
Mapusa Police have registered an offence under section 380 read with 34 of Indian penal code. Head constable Ulhas Gaonkar is conducting further5 investigation.
