PANAJI: The 37th National Games Goa 2023 are in full swing, with ‘MOGA’ the official mascot, taking the lead to spread the spirit of National Games in the state. The symbol of love and passion – MOGA is organizing a unique event that will invite students from various colleges to come together and participate in a variety of games, mainly Basketball, football, relay among others. Through the unique initiative, ‘MOGA’ is fostering a sense of sportsmanship and unity among the students of Goa.
The event has kickstarted with the MES Vasant Joshi College of Arts proudly hosting the games and will be followed by other schools and colleges taking the lead till October 20, 2023. The exciting event will showcase participation from five colleges and five schools, with a minimum of 200 students expected to channel the energy and enthusiasm of the mascot.
At the core of this event is ‘Moga,’ the official mascot for the 37th National Games Goa 2023 which is scheduled from October 26 to November 9. ‘Moga’ embodies the passion and love that the athletes have for their respective disciplines, serving as a symbol of their dedication.
The schedule includes participation from MES Vasant Joshi College of Art and Commerce on October 11th, MES Higher Secondary School on October 12th; Chowgule College, Madgaon on October 13th; and Dempo College, Panjim on October 14th followed by other colleges.
The school’s principal and teachers have taken the lead in organizing this event. Their dedication has not only motivated students to actively participate in the games but has also encouraged some to volunteer for the upcoming National Games, demonstrating their strong support.
