MOPA: GMR Aero Cargo & Logistics at Manohar International Airport has facilitated the movement of cargo diverted from Dabolim amid the ongoing disruption in cargo handling operations at the other airport in Goa.
The cargo facility said its infrastructure helped support the state’s trading community by enabling the seamless transit of consignments affected by the cargo-handling difficulties at Dabolim.
According to GMR Aero Cargo & Logistics, its facilities include bonded warehousing options, four dual-view X-ray machines and extensive apron space capable of accommodating major freighter aircraft.
These facilities enabled the airport to handle additional cargo diverted to Mopa and support the continued movement of freight from Goa.
As of now, GMR Aero Cargo & Logistics said it has processed three tonnes of cargo through GMR’s road feeder service (RFS) vehicles, facilitating the movement of consignments from the airport.
The facility said the arrangements were aimed at ensuring continuity in cargo movement and providing support to traders and logistics operators during the ongoing disruption.
