PANAJI: South Goa Member of Parliament Captain Viriato Fernandes today raised the issue of encroachment by RVNL on private land for double tracking in Velsao & the case filled against the Velsao Sarpanch Diana Gouveia for protecting the villagers.
He raised this matter of urgent importance in Zero hour & urged the Government to kindly address this issue and to take necessary action against those responsible for this encroachment, despite a stop work notice issued by Panchayat.
The encroachment & dumping of mud by RVNL has completely blocked the access of many houses & the residents which includes the elderly & childrens are completely isolated.
Incidentally, North Goa MP Shri Shripad Naik was in the Parliament when Captain Viriato Fernandes raised the issue.
