Pernem Police have conducted a narcotics raid on Sunday and arrested 02 persons for illegal possession of drugs.
As per PI Jivba Dalvi information was received that 02 persons are involved in drug activities and roaming on a activa scooter.
Accordingly a team was prepared and the 02 suspected persons were intercepted at Harambol beach parking and they were searched. During the search Ganja worth Rs.69,000/- was found hidden in the dickey of thier scooter. The ganja was seized during the raid.
The accused persons are identified as 1.Pradeep Ramesh Valecha, age 27 yrs N/o Kalyan Mumbai and 2. Salim Quyyum Khan, age 21 yrs N/o Ulhasnagar Mumbai. The activa scooter bearing reg no GA 03 N 5230 has also been seized by the police.
The raiding team consisted of Pi Jivba Dalvi , PSI Praful Giri and constables Vinod Pednekar, Shailesh Parsekar and Ravi Mhaloji.
Further investigation is in progress under the supervision of SDPO Mapusa Gajanan Prabhudessai and SP NORTH Utkrisht Prasoon IPS.
