MAINA: Maina Curtorim Police have registered an offence following a complaint alleging that nine persons trespassed into a common residential house at Murda, Nuvem, and assaulted two complainants in connection with a property dispute.
According to the complaint lodged by Damodar Bandodkar and Prashant Bandodkar, both residents of Nuvem, Salcete, the incident took place on September 30 at around 9.30 pm at Murda, Nuvem.
The accused have been identified as Siddesh Bandodkar, Survesh Bandodkar and Milind Bandodkar, all residents of Nuvem; Nilesh Rebello of Velsao; Walter Cabriel of Raia; and four others.
The complainants alleged that the accused, acting with a common object, formed an unlawful assembly and criminally trespassed into their common residential house situated in the property of Village Nuvem.
According to the complaint, the accused allegedly damaged the lock of the main door and entered the house, where they further damaged four internal room doors and roof tiles. The damage allegedly caused a loss of around Rs 50,000.
The complainants further alleged that they were assaulted during the incident, resulting in injuries to both of them.
Police have registered the case and are investigating the alleged trespass, property damage and assault arising out of the dispute.
